How We Help

Helping People Honor Their Grief and Look to Tomorrow

When is Now (W.I.N.) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to offering free education and support to those experiencing anguish through loss and separation due to death.

The founders of WIN have lost loved ones themselves and they understand that experiencing the loss of someone close is extremely painful. But they know that the first step to healing that pain is to talk about how you feel.

According to research, every 12 seconds someone experiences some level of change and loss which can leave an individual wondering how to process and manage this experience. The overall message is to offer hope and empower people of all ages who are faced with grief due to the death of someone they love.

W.I.N. informally started helping in their Hawaii community in 2000, with a few volunteers. They helped with organizations like‹Hospice Hawaii---St. Francis Hospice and Kaiser Healthcare as community volunteers facilitating support groups and holding community workshops.

W.I.N. was established 2003 with private donations and personal funds from three women who have endured the death of numerous loved ones.

The W.I.N Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is dedicated to providing educational programs, services, and research that helps individuals, families, and organizations learn about methods and processes that facilitate the exploration of emotional intelligence and the freedom to make informed choices for life's sensitive issues.
